Oh I bet that smells amazing Kristin! I love sugar scrubs and I definitely need to try this one. 🙂
This is such a great idea for Mother’s Day or any day! I’m going to have make some and give myself a spa day.
Your scrub recipe looks great and I like your jar tags too! Thanks Kristin!
I love simple, natural spa ideas! I cannot wait to try this! How did you make your cute label?
Thanks Karen, I’m going to try and add that to the post, I’ll let you know when it is up.
Does it need to be organic brown sugar? I made this tonight (a double batch) and ended up adding at least another cup and a half of brown sugar to make it more crumbly than soggy. I’m wondering if there’s a texture difference with the sugars.
All the brands are a little different but I have found the organic does not seem as moist as the regular. (if that makes sense)
Love this idea!! I made some and I am saving some in a 4 oz mason jar. I was wondering if you used something to seal the jar to help preserve the scrub? If so, what technique did you use? Also, what is the shelf life of the sugar scrub.
My seven year old loved the smell of the scrub and he wanted to go buy doughnuts:)

Hi Angie- Glad you liked it! I didn’t use anything other then the lid to keep it sealed, wondering if you could put a layer of saran wrap. I made a few batches and still have one from a year ago and it is still perfect 🙂
Does the coconut oil need to be “unrefined”? I have refined currently.
Since you are not easting it either one is fine to use 🙂
Where do I have to store it? Because I made it for my lab and Im wondering where to store it.
Either the fridge or a cool dark place 🙂
it worked really well i love it so much i use it everyday
Checking out your best posts! Thanks for a scrub recipe that doesn’t call for essential oils.
