Air fryer this is the model that I have and love
Basting brush
Aluminum foil
Ingredients
2 ½ – 3 lb. Spiral-cut bone-in ham. You can purchase your ham at the grocery store. There are various ham sizes but the larger ham may not fit in your air fryer. Make sure to check the capacity of your fryer.
½ C. Swerve brown sugar substitute or keto-friendly brown sugar substitute
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp. Apple cider vinegar
¼ C. Sugar free honey
Pinch of cinnamon (optional pinch of cloves)
Black pepper to taste
Directions
Preparing the Keto Glaze
Crafting a keto-approved glaze is the key to making this Air Fryer Glazed Ham. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine
Swerve, dijon, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and black pepper into a saucepan
over medium heat, and simmer until thickened.
Allow the mixture to simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
Remove, and allow to cool for a minute or two.
Preparing and cooking the Keto Ham
You can purchase either, the bone in ham or boneless but the bone in ham is a lot easier to cut, because of the extra work done at the butcher’s.
Place the entire ham on a cutting board.
Optional to Score the surface in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the presentation and glaze penetration.
Line the air fryer basket or tray of the air fryer with a piece of foil and place the ham in the center.
Brush ⅓ of the glaze on top of the ham, and wrap it tightly in the tin foil.
Place into the air fryer for 20 minutes.
Baste the ham with 1/3 of the keto-friendly glaze and air fry for 20 minutes in your preheated air fryer
Uncover the ham, and brush on another ⅓ of the glaze. Cover tightly in tin foil again, and
return to the air fryer for 20 more minutes.
Remove the tin foil, and brush on the remaining glaze.
Return the ham to the air fryer for 3-5 more minutes uncovered until you have the perfect honey-glazed topping. (note: you may want to lower the temperature to ensure the top does not burn).
Your total cooking time will be approximately 45 minutes
Serving
Once your keto Air Fryer Glazed Ham is golden brown, carefully remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Using a sharp knife cut your ham.
The result? A juicy, keto-friendly ham with a caramelized crust that’s sure to impress!
