I painted my family room and entryway with Gray Owl. In some lights it has a greenish blue look to it and others it looks gray. I really do like it but it went on differently than I thought it would. Grays are tricky! Love some of the picks on this list.
Oh wow!!! This really makes up my mind. I am still stuck in the sage colors but am being drawn to the beautiful robins egg vintage style blue you have showcased.I think I am so resistant because growing up my mother decorated the whole house in a farm theme with crafty country blue & all the fix-ins! I detested it so much! But this is so romantic and I am definitely being drawn to the “blue” side. The light sage greens are becoming t yesterday’s trends anyways.
I love Ben M.’s titanium. We have it in our front entrance and our living room.
Great insight! That’s the answer we’ve been loionkg for.
BM Edgecomb Grey….I used it in our basement and loved it so much I then used it in my dining room and my mom’s whole lower level. It’s a great warm, light greige!
Love all these inspiration photos!
After a massive search for the perfect gray (we’re talking 4 months and 30++ samples) I settled on Sherwin Williams passive. Even the name calms me down…. Tried comfort gray but it was definitely green in my house, although others have said it had undertones of blue. Passive is perfectly gray and goes with whatever color I put in the room. It’s now my go to color for hallways and bathrooms now. Good luck!
Oh, how I love grey walls! It looks so beautiful with white molding. I used Valspar Sterling in my guest room. Thank you for sharing such gorgeous rooms.
I did mine in Revere Pewter and love it. I am also going to paint the cabinets in the same color if I can just get to it.
I have such a hard time finding the right gray/grey. My current fave is Martha Stewart’s Whetstone Grey. Used it in Riley’s room and my pantry and I absolutely love it. Thinking of using it (or maybe a lighter shade) in my living room.
We just finished painting one of our bathrooms in a gray. We tried 40-50 different grays before settling on one. I also painted our laundry room in Storm. I love it! It does have a blue cast to it….at least in the room I painted. Have fun choosing your color! Can’t wait to see what you decide on.
We used Ashes by Behr…used it in 3 different rooms, all different lighting. No undertones…just gray!
I love the first one! It’s perfect!
Our master bed/bath are Silver Mist by Sherwin Williams…sometimes blue, sometimes green…always calming & peaceful. I love all that ou have posted today. They make my heart happy!
Since painting my daughter’s room MS Nimbus Gray I now want to repaint all of my main living areas gray! I’m loving the look of all the white walls I’m seeing lately, and I think gray would be a great compromise for me. I’ll definitely be checking out these other colors you posted, and look forward to seeing what you go with!
I put at least 20 different grays/greiges on my wall; thought I found the perfect one and it was blue on the wall. I then went back to my original inspiration and now Revere Pewter graces my entire first floor, with a darker concentration in the laundry room. It is such a perfect, calming color and matches everything, Look at more internet images of RP because I think the one above shows to be on the mauve side. LOVE RP.
Most of my house is painted Gray Owl by BM very pretty color.
I am LOVING the Storm by Benjamin Moore. Trying to find a gray paint was exhausting. I finally settled on Sherwin Williams A New Gray. I love it, our house has a lot of natural light and I love that throughout the day the color changes in the room, but it never seems too dark.
