Brown Sugar and Coconut Body Scrub Recipe

1 cup organic brown sugar
1/4 cup unrefined coconut oil
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Melt the coconut oil over low heat until melted. In a small bowl whisk together the coconut oil and brown sugar until all lumps are gone. Add the vanilla extract and mix, that’s it!

Next add the scrub into cute glass jars, add a tag and twine and show your mom how much you love her!

  3. Does it need to be organic brown sugar? I made this tonight (a double batch) and ended up adding at least another cup and a half of brown sugar to make it more crumbly than soggy. I’m wondering if there’s a texture difference with the sugars.

    • All the brands are a little different but I have found the organic does not seem as moist as the regular. (if that makes sense)
