Top 3

~Happy Sunday friends~

Has it been a super busy weekend!  Baseball,  Country Fair which is our schools biggest fundraiser and three soccer games today.  I’m tired.

I thought it would be fun to show you the three top links that were clicked on from Tuesday’s Treasures last week.

Evolution of Style shows off her new runner but I am in love with everything about this hallway, can I just move in?

Who doesn’t love a red door?  The Two Seasons painted the storm door to match,

I just love it!

De Jong Dream Home gives us a beautiful  house tour.

I also recieved a suprise in my e-mail that someone had nominated me for the top 25 blogs so if you are so inclined you can vote for me here.  Thank you so much, I feel very honored!

Plus, don’t forget to enter the $75 giveaway from Novica!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Coral decor

Coral has been making it’s way back into  fashion and in home decor over the past few years and I love it.  My favorite is when it is used on a  statement piece like in the pictures below.

I’m thinking of adding splashes of coral as an accent color using pillows in the family room. I found this fabric for $7  a yard at fabric.com not  too shabby!

~Have a fabulous weekend~

Suitcase Makeover

Awhile back I was given some of my grandparents old suitcases.  I have used them in various parts of the house for storage.  Although my Grandfather is no longer with us, it always puts a smile on my face when I happen to pass one up.  I invision all the places the suitecase must have traveled in their 76 years of marriage and the simplicity of what was most liekly packed back then.   I decided to give this piece a little makeover since it is displayed ontop of our armoire in the master bedroom.

The inside is in prestine condition.

One coat of Duck Egg by Annie Sloan did the trick.

Followed up with a coat of dark wax and a coat of the clear soft wax to take any excess dark wax off.

I hope Grandpa likes it!

~Thanks for stopping by friends~

$75 Novica Giveaway

~Giveaway is now closed~
How about we start this weekend off with a super fun giveaway.
Have you ever heard of Novica?
OK I will be honest,  I had not  heard of them before. But guess what?  I am now  a  huge fan!
Why you ask?
They have literally changed the lives of tens of thousands of  people in developing nations by allowing talented artisans around the world a place to express their artistic talents and provide access to the world  market.

Novica works with National Geographic by offering thousands of limited edition and
one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, clothing, unique gifts, and home decor.

Look what I found for our home. I loved the vibrant pops of orange and blue in this flowerpot, it fits perfectly ontop of our hearth.

One of my other favorites was the soda pop top belt, I am a sucker for anything pink!

Novica has so many beautiful accessories like women’s scarves, pendant bracelets and beaded bracelets. They even have men’s accessories like cufflinks, so cool!

Are you ready to win $75 towards anything for yourself or home?

Tuesday's Treasures

~Happy Tuesday~

Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start.  We sure had so much talent linked up last Tuesday, here are a few highlights.

Love this dining room by House of Rose.

Have you seen Northwest Lovelies guestroom transformation?  It is just gorgeous, she transformed many pieces with Annie Sloan paint.

Aimee from It’s Overflowing gave us a great tutorial on how to paint the inside of recycled bottles!

If you happen to miss her kitchen makeover hurry over!

How clever is this cork project from Top This Top That!  I think Laura and I  need to have a glass of wine together!

You have to see how Spring has sprung over at Miss Gracie’s house.

Ever wondered how to plant your own terrarium?  Maple and Magnolia gives us a fabulous tutorial!

Redouxs Turned this whole set from black to white, you have to go see the fabulousness (is that a word?) of the chairs, there is a little surprise on each one.
