Wine cork trivets
I originally saw the idea of wine cork trivets on Green Home Guide via Pinterest and thought, I have to make this ASAP!
I did not have a metal hose clamp to bind the corks together, so I took a differen’t approach so it would remain a free project.
Well, if you don’t count all the wine I had to drink. Just kidding, I collect corks.

~Supply List~
About 50 wine corks
Hot glue and gun
Twine or ribbon of your choice
I used a old cork trivet from Ikea as my template.
Add hot glue to one side of a cork and glue the second cork to the side of the first cork.
Keep going until you have a full and complete circle of corks.
~Here are a few of my favorite Chardonnay’s for under $12~
Sorry, something had me thinking about wine.
Now just continue gluing the corks onto the inside of the circle, around and around you go.
I kept with the earthy feel and wrapped twine around the corks but you could add a pop of color with any type of ribbon.
Have fun drinking your wine so you can make lots of trivets.
This is beautiful Kristen. I admit I had never seen anything like this. I guess I need to start a cork collection now. Thanks for sharing 🙂
how amazing is that. I know, you had wine on the brain every since you featured my cork/chalk board! Man, I bet we can drink some serious wine together!!:)
I love this Kristin and I totally want to make one now! I have a drawer full of wine corks (that makes me sound like a lush! LOL!) and this would be such a fun way to use them. Thanks so much for sharing it at Inspiration Friday! 🙂

I love this Kristin! I like the twine accent you added. It seems easier than a lot of other wine cork projects too. In regards to Chardonnays under 12 bucks, I love Chateau Ste. Michelle’s. My husband and I like to challenge ourselves and find “fine” wines under 12 bucks…and we usually like them more than the expensive ones we’ve found.
I love this idea. I’ve been thinking about making a trivet with the metal thingamajig, but I like the twine – easy and I have it on hand (along with 47,000 wine corks 🙂 You are getting crafty with your corks these days!! happy weekend! xoL.
