New Window and progress
~Hi Friends~
Hope the week is treating you well.
If you follow me on Facebook you know it’s been busy and loud around here, I love it!
My favorite workers are making their magic happen in the bathroom!
Very last minute we decided to add a window
that actually opens.
hmmmmm….maybe if we had a window in the first place the bathroom wouldn’t have stunk and I wouldn’t have lit the candle.
hmmmmm….maybe if we had a window in the first place the bathroom wouldn’t have stunk and I wouldn’t have lit the candle.
We had three of these that didn’t open, seriously what was the builder thinking?
The cost to replace them…well, it just made more sense to put in a new window that actually functions as a window.
Here is the new window from the outside. Did I ever mention the builders never connected the vent in the bathroom to the outside 10 years ago? So on top of fire damage we had mold damage behind the walls.
Kristin,
I am so excited to see the results!!

Windows make all the difference in a bathroom…I just love the light shining in as well as fresh air. Looks like everything is coming along great!! 🙂

If you have to make changes, you might as well get it right the second time around! I hate when we get in the midst of an unforeseen project only to find it was a good thing because the builders cut corners to begin with!! I love the addition of a working window. Can't wait to see the rest.
I wish we had added a window in our bathroom when the house was built, but we were trying to save money at the time. But at least we have a vent!
I can't wait to see the changes!!!!
As for blogger, I upgraded to IE8 as they no longer support some of the older browsers. It fixed all of my problems (followers missing). Not sure if that would help you……
Very exciting! Nothing like fresh air in a bathroom 🙂 Can't wait to see the tile work!
Exciting indeed! Have a great week! Xoxoxo
so happy for you that progress is being made…always a good thing:)

Oh how great to get the new window put in and I'm so glad you caught the mold issue! Can't wait to see the new tile! 🙂

We moved into a 45 yr. old house that we loved but the upstairs bath had a bathroom with a smell we just couldn't bear. Turns out, after that many years, the vent had NEVER been connected. Can I just say MOLD?
Looks great!!! We had mold in our basement too 🙁 It's what prompted the reno though 🙂
I know you can't wait to get the tile and the rest of the room done. I know it's going to be beautiful!
Kristin-It's looking great. We have a powder room that has a window like that just above FLOOR level because of the eaves. They asked me if I was SURE I wanted a window there- ABSOLUTELY! You will love yours. You wonder what the builder was thinking? Well….HE was a MAN, wasn't he?;>) xo Diana
What a huge difference that'll make in there, Kristin! It's exciting to see the gradual changes!! 🙂

Sounds like a smart idea to put in a working window. I'm sure you are anxious for it all to be finished. I can't wait to see the tile.
