Knock off antique crate and tutorial

I have a fun and easy tutorial on how to make an antique crate without the price tag. I’ve been keeping my eye out for one but haven’t had any luck finding one that was reasonably priced.
So I decided to make my own to store all of our magazines.
Supplies
Carbon Mill Finish Paper
Wood Crate
Sharpie
Craft Paint Brush and regular sized paint brush
1999 was the year we were married so I thought it would be fun to have those as our numbers!
I bought one of these at the craft store
Painted it using some leftover On The Rocks with a dry brush. (you could also use plain craft paint)
Printed up my letters and traced it using carbon paper
You can barely see the letters
Used a sharpie and traced the letters and then filled it in with a bigger sharpie
Sanded it till I had my desired effect then buffed it to make it smooth
I took some wood stain, dipped a wet cloth in it and lightly applied it over the whole crate to give it a worn look.
So there you have it, my knock off antique crate without the price tag!

Your crate turned out wonderful! Prayers go out for your grandmother, so sorry. My grandmother just had her 2nd heart attack last week and is in the hosp. as well. She's 95.
