Spring Floral Hoop Wreath

Yesterday sun, today rain, I can’t keep up with this weather but it’s not stopping me from creating this Spring Floral Hoop Wreath!  I’m loving the simplicity of these hoop wreaths, if you’ve ever felt intimidated by wreath-making you’ve come to the right place. You can complete this wreath in under 20 minutes and you will have your own floral springtime wreath that you can proudly display.

A HUGE thank you to Krista from The Happy Housie for putting this beautiful party together! Myself and 27 bloggers are sharing our Spring wreaths with you today so you too can welcome spring into your home!

My supply list is based on the look and style I was after, these wreaths are completely customizable. You can mix and match any type of greenery and florals, so have fun with it.

Supplies

  • Your choice of faux flowers (I was able to buy 2 stems for $1.00 each they were 50% off at Hobby Lobby)
  • Wood Embroidery Hoop
  • Wire Cutters
  • Hot Glue Gun and Glue or  Floral Tape or Floral Wire
  • Ribbon for hanging
  • Scissors
  • Your choice of greenery…. I used the Lamb’s Ear Wreath from Hobby Lobby.  I have this in the garland and love the softness of it.  For $5 it was cheaper to buy the mini wreath and cut it, then to buy the picks for $2.00 apiece.

You can use any type of greenery for this project. Since I was using a pre-made greenery wreath I cut into it using my wire cutters and placed it down covering about 3/4 of the hoop.  I secured it using hot glue but wire or tape would work just as well.  If you are using individual leaves or picks simply lay out the greenery to form how you want the wreath to look and then secure it with glue, wire or tape.

Next, you will want to pop the little flowers off from the stems, add hot glue underneath the flower and secure them onto the greenery.

There is no right or wrong way to do this, play with it until it looks right to you!

Loop your ribbon around the top of the embroidery hoop and hang!

This was one of the easiest wreaths to make, have fun with it, and get creative.
