Remembering
We all remember where we were on the morning of September 11, 2001. I had walked into work, I was newly pregnant, I grabbed a cup of decaf, sat down and turned on my computer, like I did every morning. Minutes later I heard Oh My God, Oh My God…I knew something wasn’t right. I walked into the media room and watched in silence with everyone else. I was in shock, disbelief, my heart hurt, it as though time had stopped, from that minute our world had change forever.
Most of our cleints were on the East Coast, we were told to go home. The rest of the day was a blur–watching the images of the planes crashing into the Towers, I felt helpless. At the time I couldn’t fully grasp what was actually happening, lives were forever changed.
As time passed I began to view life differently, priorities changed, I try to never take any day for granted and I hug my family a little tighter. Today, I’m remembering but I will never forget.
