Handmade Valentines Gifts

I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for Valentines Day.
The first Valentines Day spent with my hubby,
I came home from work to find my apartment  filled with heart helium balloons,  long stem roses and votive candles which lit up every room.
No wonder I married him.
With kids it isn’t so easy to have a repeat of that day but
there are some fabulous, inexpensive homemade valentines gifts that will be sure to put a smile on your

 significant others face!

Write a love letter and place it in a glass jar.

One of my favorites is making coupons.

Cover boxes with red paper, and  attach clusters of folded roses with craft glue.

Hand stamp a muslin bag and add your favorite candy.

  10. Such cute ideas! I'm a sucker for V-Day too, but I think even more so now that I have kids because the projects are just so fun to do with little girls who love pink 🙂 Your hubby sounds wonderful and I hope you get to recreate that day. xo

  11. That was so sweet of your hubby, Kristin! So romantic. I'm a sucker for Valentine's Day, too. Growing up my Mom would always make a red velvet heart shaped cake and my Dad would come home from work with flowers and chocolates for my Mom, sister and me. I've carried out the tradition of the red velvet cake and make one every year on Valentine's Day. I also make about 10 cards for my hubby and hide them in various spots throughout the house for him to discover.
