Materials needed:

Solar Garden Lights – Dollar Tree often has these in its garden section. They’re typically low-cost and come with a solar panel and light fixture.
2 Plastic Serving Bowls
Frosted Glass Spray Paint n theme.
Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks or Gorilla Glue

Instructions:

Prepare the Solar Lights:

Start by removing the solar light’s stake from the base if it’s detachable. This will give you access to the light itself.

Spray Paint your bowls

Give each bowl a light coat of spray paint on the INSIDE. Let the paint dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Glue the light into the bottom of the bowl

Once the globe is dry, apply a generous amount of hot glue around the rim of the solar light. Carefully place the light onto the bottom of the bowl, ensuring it’s centered. Hold it in place for a few seconds until the glue sets.  I added a light in each bowl, you don’t have to but it lets off an amazing glow.  Since one of the lights will be hanging upside down, I placed heavy objects on them for 24 hours while the glue set.

Glue bowls together

Line one of the bowls top with glue, and place the bowls together to form a globe.

Enjoy Your New Lights:

As evening falls, your solar globe lights will start to glow. Enjoy the soft, enchanting light they cast, adding a magical touch to your outdoor garden.

Tips and Tricks:

Placement: For best results, place your solar lights in an area where they’ll receive direct sunlight throughout the day to ensure they charge properly.

Safety: Be cautious when working with hot glue and ensure it has cooled and set before handling the lights.

You can also do this using mason jars and solar powered tea lights.

I have not found it necessary but some say by drilling a small hole on top allows more direct sunlight in filter through. Frosted glass is transparent, so direct sunlight will still be able to filter through so make sure your spray paint is transparent!

Adding in 2 lights made them extra bright, you can easily get away with just 1 light!

Creating DIY solar globe lights with Dollar Tree supplies is a fun, budget-friendly way to enhance your garden or patio. With just a little time and creativity, you can craft beautiful, personalized lights that add a touch of magic to your outdoor evenings. Enjoy your glowing garden!
