Cozy Christmas Mantel

Slowly our home is getting decked out for the holidays and I’m excited to share our mantel with all of you today. I decided this year to go with neutrals for our Christmas decor using lots of soft colors mixed with hints of gold and silver.

I’m joining my friends from the Seasonal Simplicity Christmas series this year . There are so many more beautiful mantels to inspire you at the bottom of the post, make sure to visit them!.  A huge thanks to Krista from Happy Housie for bringing us all together!

I have had my DIY succulent pumpkin displayed on the candlestick all autumn season and It worked so well with everything else that I kept it.  Let’s not forget it’s still technically fall and we have been in the 80’s so my pumpkin gets to stay for now.

I found the tree’s on top of the mantel in the dollar section at Target and the felt trees on the hearth at the Dollar Tree, score!  The love bird plaque I pulled of of my fresh wreath from last year and everything else I have had from years past.

I mixed some pom pom garland with faux greenery to bring in some cozy textures. My goal is to always make sure things feel casual and simple, not too fussy and always welcoming.

We spend a lot of time in this space,  our great room is where it all happens and yup, that’s a huge TV .  My hubby is proud to say that fireplace was built around the TV he picked out at Costco about 10 years ago, I just do my best to camouflage it, who am I kidding.  We ere a busy family of 5 that love watching movies together, or playing board games while the Chicago Bears are playing, so I wouldn’t change a thing, not even that huge TV.
