Holiday Housewalk 2023
Hello friends and happy Holidays, welcome to the 2023 Holiday Housewalk hosted by my sweet friend Jennifer Rizzo, I am beyond honored to be a part of her Chrismtas home tour each year! Jen is one of the most creative people I know and just opened her new shop, I’m so happy for her! Each day this week bloggers have opened their doors and invited you inside to tour their beautiful homes, I wish we could go house to house in person, how fun would that be!
To start the tour from the beginning, click on Jen’s page for Day 1 and continue through all the homes.
if you’re coming from Zevy Joy, welcome! Annie’s home is so warm and welcoming I love her decor especially her fireplace and all of her beautiful windows bring in so much natural light.
If you are new, welcome, I’m so glad you are here! This is where I share our home, a family of 5, 3 dogs, crafts, recipe DIY, and a whole lot of fun!
First up is the dining room, which is part of our family room/great room. Lots of fresh and faux greens were used throughout, I went with a more minimalist approach and love the simplicity of it.

I few free clippings from Home Depot and some scattered bells are all this table needs.
I recently transformed a ceramic white vase using paint and baking soda. I used the same method on some ornaments, you can find the tutorial here.
I mixed in real clippings with faux garland, leaves from our maple tree, and ribbon to complete our stairs.
I added the same greens on the fireplace mantel garland and added the kid’s stockings. I guess I should say young men, goodness they were 10, 8, and 6 when I started this tour, time sure goes by so fast.
I have loved using the A Floral Reach Touch Garland all of these years, it looks so real!
This year we pulled down the Christmas tree and opened the box up, I was so confused as it was not our tree and I quickly remembered Ray’s sister gave us her tree before she moved. It was fun decorating a flocked tree, and very messy lol. I decided to go with lots of white and added in some pastels. The dogs love being under the tree, but now that we have a basket I add a little white rug for them to lay on. They are both getting up their in age, and each day with them here is a blessing.
Goodness, these memories of the kids being so little tug at my heart.
Let’s not forget about Winston, he is patiently waiting for his evening walk as I finish writing.
In the kitchen, I went extremely simple with touches of green and a few gingerbread houses.
I added another tree up in the loft this year for a little added fun. I made a bunch of velvet textured ornaments for the tree and trimmed it with ribbon, very simple. Easy LED Twinkle lights I found here.
And just for fun, I added a few decorations in the boy’s bathroom that we just finished. Sadly, on Monday night we found a huge leak in the bathroom coming from the shower to downstairs, I was in tears! A plumber comes out today, wish us luck. (We never touched the shower during our renovation, our home has been cursed with water damage over the years, unfortunately)
A vintage wooden tray I painted over to lighten it up a bit with a few trees is all this bathroom needed.
That concludes our Holiday Housewalk 2023! The next stop is Charleston Crafted you do not want to miss her gorgeous home!
