Today the the thrift store decor team is sharing our best thrift store makeovers from 2023! I can’t believe we are soon going to be heading into a new year, where does the time go? For over 8 years, we have all been heading out to our local thrift shops, yard sales, and estate sales and giving our thrift store items a brand new look! It’s so much fun to look back on all the creative upcycling ideas each one of us has come up with this past year. I’m highlighting one of my favorite makeovers from each blogger, let’s check them all out!

Sadie Seasongoods found a beautiful basket at the thrift store and turned it into a Succulent Hanger in a Wicker Wall Pocket.

We’ve all seen the outdoor plant stands at the thrift stores. Christy from Our Southern Home Turned a Thrift Store Plant Stand into a Drink Table, brilliant!.
My Repurposed Life gave this drop leaf table brand new life by sanding the table down and giving it a fresh coat of paint, I love this project. If you hate sanding you could always use chalk paint.

My most popular thrift store post this year was taking this nightstand and painting the top to look like wood. I also swapped out the hardware and gel-stained the existing black paint. I had driven up to Los Angeles to check out a home staging store that sold thousands of home decor items.
These are the 2 items I used on this side table and can’t wait to use the same technique on our kitchen table.
