Inspire Me Monday

Hello friends and welcome to Inspire Me Monday, thank you for being here!  This week has been so hard, we had to say goodbye to our dog Abby and it has been such a heavy week. I wasn’t able to do much until yesterday, Sunday, the sun was finally out and I worked in the garden, made a succulent planter and Ray worked on our fireplace makeover, it felt good!
Ray rescued her from the high kill shelter in San Bernardino, 11 years ago. Her name was Vivian, my mom’s name, but she looked more like an Abby to us. She loved swimming, hiking, escaping, hunting, camping, and road trips, and hated being left alone. We wish we knew more about her story other than she was found on the streets.
Her foster at the time, had never kept a dog he rescued, she was the only one he almost kept until Ray showed up and the only one he let sleep in his bed.
She rolled over on her belly the minute someone walked up to her. She loved us so much and forever changed us. Her heart was tired and she let us know it was time, you lived your best life Abby!
May 2 2013-April 3 2024 forever with us.
