Making a hot cocoa bar is so much fun, super easy and a wonderful way to start the holidays! The kids love having all the fixings in one spot and serving up their own hot chocolate! I love using tiered trays in our home, especially those that have a farmhouse vibe. If you have a love for trays as well, you will find a handful of ideas for this holiday season from some of my favorite bloggers at the end of this post. It’s a little funny, as I write this it is about 95 degrees outside and we spent the day at the beach, maybe December will bring us some chilly weather but hey, I’m not complaining.
My set up is pretty simple but I’ve seen some pretty elaborate bars as well, but I prefer something a little more casual, use your imagination, you can’t go wrong. I went with the basics; chocolate chips, marshmallows, whip cream and chocolate shaving but you could bring in some new fun additions. Think of vanilla syrup, crumbled cookies, maraschino cherries or even fresh berries, if it’s for adults you could add a little baileys or vodka! Yummy!
What a fun way to warm up after a chilly day out and about or watching a Christmas movie!
We have started to decorate for Christmas and I’ll be sharing out home on Friday, you can start the tour today over at Jen Rizzo’s where she’s kicking off our holiday home tour!
Stop by and see all the wonderful ways you can use and style a farmhouse tray this Christmas season, a little something for everyone!
