Christmas Home Tour 2024
Hello friends, Happy Holidays, and welcome to the 2024 Holiday Housewalk hosted by my sweet friend Jennifer Rizzo. I am so honored and grateful to share our home with you today. We had a beautiful Thanksgiving with family. In 10 days all three kids will be home for Christmas and my heart couldn’t be happier! This is the first year I’ve had the house decorated before Thanksgiving!

When I decorate for the holidays my number one goal is to make our home warm and welcoming, a place where friends and family can gather and create memories. It’s filled with cozy layers, candlelight, greens, and most of all lots of love.

Dining Room Details: Simple Elegance
I’ve kept things simple yet elegant. For this space, I chose a natural, rustic vibe—think fresh greenery, wooden accents, and candles everywhere! The table is dressed with a linen runner, and I layered the eucalyptus garland with A Floral Reach Touch Garland. I still love the flameless candles, they make it so easy and I never have to worry about a real flame.
I decided to put the “Charlie Brown” tree that the kids dislike in the dining room with the full intention of bringing it upstairs, but everyone loves having it downstairs. I think the tree is growing on them, shhhhh. I didn’t decorate it with ornaments, just the star at the top. We all love the glow that it illuminates.

Kitchen Cheer
The kitchen is the heart of our holiday entertaining, and this year I kept things fresh and fun with a few simple additions. I kept it very minimal in the kitchen, greenery and a few houses, the less is more approach.
I used a vase, filled Norfolk Pine Stems for a touch of winter. They are so realistic looking. You can see how I antiqued some old vases in this post
using the baking soda method.
I just noticed the open microwave, ha, there was no way I was going to re-take the pictures.
A Cozy Bedroom Retreat
While the living spaces are the primary focus during the holidays, I couldn’t resist bringing some Christmas cheer into the bedroom, too. Our downstairs bedroom received a mini refresh when our oldest went away to college, I still need to share the whole room with all of you. I swapped out the usual bedding for a set of crisp, white linens, and some fun holiday pillows. I hung a small wreath over the bed.
Sophie is going to be 15 soon, she’s blind and diabetic but seriously the happiest little girl ever. Her hair is thinning a ton so it’s hard to get her fluffy anymore but I try. She needs to be near me 24/7, so I carry her around most of the day when I’m home. It’s almost like having a newborn again, and I don’t mind.
Christmas Tree
I brought in the flocked tree again this year for some added fun!
I can’t wait to show you the tutorial on how I made these succulent ornaments! I am hoping to have it up by Wednesday! They were so easy and fun to create and make for the perfect gifts!
I did not decorate the upstairs other than the “kids” bathroom with just the smallest splash of decor, 2 trees, and a house!

The green sprigs are nice, but the tall candles are a fire hazard. Especially if there are drunk guests at the table, the risk of them knocking a candle over and starting a fire isn’t worth the holiday cheer.
As I mentioned in the post, they are not real, none of the candles on the table are. Merry Christmas!
