Upcycled Tray
Hi friends, I’m back again for this months thrift store challenge and making over this upcylced tray.
I have a thing with baskets, I have at least 2 in each room, 1 big and 1 small, it helps me control the clutter. If there is no time to clean up I can just quickly throw everything into the baskets and no one will ever know. (Well, except you)
Project Supplies
Deco Art Americana Chalky Finish Paint, 8-Ounce, Vintage
Deco Art Americana Chalky Finish Paint, Lace
Instructions
I wiped the tray down using a damp cloth. I mixed two of my favorite colors, lace and vintage, for a beautiful light grey color. Using my brush I very lightly went over the whole tray allowing the dark wood to show through. Lastly, I gave it a quick seal using an old rag and creme wax after the paint had dried.
This tray has actually served a few purposes over the past week, from storing freshly picked roses, housing fresh herbs and using it as a display for more flowers.
Make sure to stop by and see what all the creative ladies did with their thrift store finds this month.

I’ve got baskets and I fill them with such unattractive stuff many of them end up in a cabinet holding junk instead of where I can enjoy seeing them. Maybe the secret is to add flowers, because that sure looks purdy!
So pretty all creamy white Kristin 🙂
OK now I have to go to Michaels tomorrow and pick up some Vintage and Lace. Love the combination. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
