DIY Cotton Wreath
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the upcoming Fall season than with pure nature, cotton is one of those things that comes to mind! I stopped at some of the local craft stores looking at Cotton Wreaths and the sticker shock had me thinking I could easily make my own. For about $14 dollars and 45 minutes of my time, I had a beautiful cotton wreath!
I have affiliate links below if you don’t have a craft store nearby. If you are close to a Michael’s or Hobby Lobby make sure you bring your coupons for lots of savings!
Supplies
Grapevine Wreath 18″
Ribbon of your choice
Faux Cotton Ball Branches ( I used 2 packs that had 3 branches each)
Floral wire
Wire cutters
Hot Melt Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Directions
Take the cotton branches and cut the excess of the stems with wire cutters.
Place one branch on the grapevine wreath and secure it to the wreath using wire floral. Tuck the end of the stem under one of the vines.
I had a few cottons that were sticking up a little too much so I hot glued the cotton to the wreath
Place the next stem underneath the first stem, layering the branches and secure with more wire.
Continue adding the stems until the wreath is completely covered to your liking.
You can arrange and add more cotton balls when you are done making the wreath and secure with a dab of hot glue here and there.
Tie a piece of twine or burlap ribbon to the back of the grapevine wreath for hanging and you’re done!
Hang it on a wall or door, or layer it over a mirror!
It’s the perfect little wreath that adds a little bit of nature, a little bit of rustic and a little bit of farmhouse!
