Cheesecloth Mummy Lanterns

These Cheesecloth Mummy Lanterns were so fun to make and were incredibly easy to put together.  Chances are you most likely have all the supplies sitting in your house, if not, just head on over to the dollar store.   I am thrilled to be joining a group of talented bloggers who are also sharing a Halloween DIY or Craft project, hosted by my friend Krista from The Happy Housie.

Supplies
Mason Jars
Medical Gauze or Cheesecloth
Googly Eyes
Battery Operated Candle or LED String Lights
Some type of Adhesive (tape or hot glue works great)
Scissors

Directions

Cut the cheese cloth in strips.

Wrap your  Mason Jar up with the Gauze, crossing back and forth to give it a mummy effect.

Warm up a cup of tea and use the tea bag to “age” the cheese cloth.

Adhere the gauze in certain areas so it doesn’t slip off. Continue covering the jar but make sure you don’t wrap the jar too much, you want to make sure the light will come through.

Add Googly Eyes

Place the string of light or battery operated candle into the jar.
