Readers painted kitchen cabinets

As a blogger, there is nothing more rewarding then receiving an e-mail from a reader thanking you for inspiring them.  Every week I receive questions asking about certain projects we have completed.  I am  thrilled to help and always end my e-mail with….Make sure you send me pictures!  So I was was ecstatic when she sent me pictures of her finished kitchen!

“Hi Kristin, I just wanted to say thank you for all your kitchen inspiration! A few years ago when we moved in I emailed you and took a lot of your advice and inspiration- including painting the cabinets white and adding height to our cabinets to create a staggered look over the microwave! We also had the island trimmed out in beadboard and mouldings and added furniture feet. Anyway just wanted to say thanks so much for your awesome blog and for sharing your gorgeous home with all of us!! You truly are an inspiration. Can’t wait to see your new kitchen.”1982859_10151990699821305_1384049432_o

Their kitchen is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy for her family!

reader kitchenHere is a little info on the project:

Paint is Dunn Edwards White Heat in their pre-catalyzed lacquer. It is very similar to sherwin Williams Alabaster and Ben Moore Dove White.

Granite was installed before they moved in so she is unsure of the name, however, they are the 12″ granite tiles.

Hardware is by GlideRite in satin nickel finish.

Thank you again Danielle for sharing your gorgeous kitchen with us, I know you will enjoy it for years to come!

  2. It’s beautiful! The white really transformed the kitchen. Very fresh and crisp. I like the contrast of their granite with the white, too. So sweet of Danielle to email you and send you photos and I agree with her. You are an inspiration Kristin!

  4. Always love a good kitchen paint makeover! I’ve been pinning a bunch of white kitchens lately as we plan on renovating ours this fall. I’m tired of my oak cabinets (never liked them the day we moved in 10 years ago)!
