Oranges for glowing skin

I thought I would share a simple beauty tip with you.  Our orange tree is in full bloom right now, the kids and I love to make OJ with all the oranges but did you know they can do wonders for your skin?  You know the little vitamin C serums you can buy in a bottle for a minimum of $30, they are packed with antioxidants but you can get the same benefits from the oranges right out of your garden or store.

For Acne:  Dry a few pieces of orange peel by letting them sit in the sun.  Take the dried orange peel and grind it into a powder form. Mix this powder with enough water to make a paste.  Massage your face with this paste and then leave it on for five minutes before rinsing it off with water.  Use this treatment until you see your acne starting to clear.

For smaller pores and glowing skin:  Squeeze a orange peel gently to help the juices inside the peel come out. Gently rub the outer peel (not the fleshy white part) on your face in small, circular motions until you have gently exfoliated your entire face.

~Enjoy your new skin~

  1. Kristin, you know I love your skin tips. One of the things my daughter and I are going to do this week on school vacation is your pumpkin mask! I love the orange peel paste idea for acne for my kiddos (and their mama on occasion! How wrong is that???)
Thanks for the tips and hope you had a wonderful weekend, my lovely friend.
