For the love of books
Our boys love to read!
It is a good thing but the amount of books in the house is a little out of control.
We have had this toy chest for about 10 years and it’s seen it’s share of paint colors.
I decided to give it a makeover using Annie Sloan’s French Linen paint.
I first used a sharpie to write the letters.
Filled the letters in.
Sanded them down.
Added dark wax on top.
Wiped off the excess with the clear wax.
Leaves such a pretty finish.
The boys love it and I get to close the bin, mom is a happy girl!

Oh, my goodness. I relate to the mountain of books. I am in my thirties and still have books from when I was a little girl. Add what we have picked up for our toddlers….
And I am in LOVE with the boy's room!

That is a great idea and I like that you are letting them have the real thing. Sad to say one day books will be a thing of the past. I love books and libraries.
Love it Kristin! I was just sorting through the kids books this week so I relate to the feeling that they are taking over. 🙂 Guess that is actually a good thing to have a lot of huh? Your boys' room is so darling and I loved getting to see it!

Kristin … what a fabulous book chest! You did a wonderful job personalizing it for your boys. And, I LOVE their room … the planes with their names on the banners are too cute.
