Fall touches around the house

~Hi Friends~

Hurray for Friday, this week I have been adding more touches of fall around the house. If you missed part 1 of our Fall Home Tour you can find it right here.

Our front porch usually doesn’t get much attention because it is so darn small.  I dream of a wrap around porch with rocking chairs but I don’t think that is happening anytime soon.  Meanwhile I will just have to make our tiny little space work. Isn’t Mr. Owl so cute!

As you walk in I decided to add some lanterns mixed with pumpkins heading up the stairs, I love how they look at night! Such a pretty, warm glow and it makes the house feel so cozy.

I am in serious love with the antique pumpkin tea light holder.  I love how the scrollwork creates whimsical shadows in the dark.

To prep the table for Thanksgiving I decided to add a little extra color with pops of red and green using pumpkins and napkin rings.

Next I decorated our buffet for the very first time.  I filled the Mason Jar Drink Dispenser with guards and pumpkins, added my antique scale and a table runner I made. (more on that later)

I think I am all finished decorating for fall, before you know it Christmas will be here!

  14. I love all you showed us. My favorite thing about fall is the colors of the leaves. I love how everyone uses natural items for decorating like branches, burlap, gourds, pumpkins, corn, etc. AND I love the fresh smell of the newly crisp air in the mornings.

  15. Hard to narrow to one favorite thing about Fall; so much to love! All the common responses are my list toppers too: colors, crisp air, weather, pumpkins, decorating, soup, lit candles, fire crackling in the fireplace on cooler, rainy days — coffee in the morning overlooking fog/mist almost snagging on the treetops as the day starts, football games (even if I don’t watch many- still love the energy), back-to-school rhythms, the anticipation of Thanksgiving gatherings with family & friends…. the list goes on. 😉 Enjoying your blog tonight – happy to have found it! Hope you have a great week!

  16. I love the cooler weather! I’m in Austin, Tx and cooler weather here means 80 degrees! 😉 I also love making caramel apples, cookies, our Halloween party, etc. I could go on and on!

  17. Pier 1 always has gorgeous stuff for every season! I got a super cute orangeish owl there last fall and I was so excited to get it out this year for my fall decorating! Great giveaway! Thank you.

  19. I love Fall!! Living in California we need the air conditioner from June thru Sept. Once Fall hits off goes the air conditioner and the doors can be opened!

  20. Fave thing about fall? Hmmm, so many things, but the best thing are the warm days and cool evenings, before the first frost, when farmers are in their fields harvesting their crops.

  21. I love the visual changes that occur outdoors, in fashion and home decor. But I’m not a fan of the cooler weather!

  22. I really like your subtle use of natural color. Fall has so many nice natural bright colors, it can be easy for some to get cartoon-y with it, but you have great taste and really made tasteful use of appropriate colors. Very nicely done!

  23. Pier 1 has the some of the most unusual and best decor for any holiday. I’m always getting ideas when window shopping and looking at their catalogues. Love the lanterns with votives which are seasonless.
